Privacy Policy
Effective November 6, 2026
Killer Klips is a Windows desktop app that runs on your own PC. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it uses and stores that information, and who it is shared with.
The short version
- Killer Klips has no servers of its own. Your accounts, projects and videos stay on your PC, and we do not receive them.
- Your Google information is used only to show which account is connected and to upload clips you approve.
- We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or use your Google information to train AI models.
- The app has no analytics, advertising or tracking.
YouTube API Services
Killer Klips uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to your channel. By using this feature, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Information from your Google account
Connecting YouTube is optional. If you connect it, Killer Klips requests these permissions from Google:
- Basic profile: your Google account name, shown in the app so you can see which account is connected, and an account identifier used to confirm the sign-in. The identifier is not stored.
- YouTube upload access (
youtube.upload): lets the app upload videos to your channel. It does not let the app read your video library, comments, or analytics.
The app also keeps the access and refresh tokens Google issues, and, for each clip you upload, the YouTube video ID, visibility and scheduled publish time, so it can show the upload's status and link to it.
How your Google information is used
- Your account name is displayed on your PC inside the app.
- Tokens are used to keep you connected and to upload the clips you approve. Nothing is uploaded until you approve that clip.
- The title, description, visibility and other details you enter are sent to YouTube with the clip.
Killer Klips' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How your information is stored
Your connections are stored only on your PC and are encrypted using Windows data protection, tied to your Windows user account. Project information is also kept on your PC. Nothing is stored on servers run by Killer Klips.
Who your information is shared with
Your Google information is sent only to Google, to complete sign-in and uploads. It is not shared with anyone else, including AI services. The app connects to these other services only when you choose to use them:
- Twitch and Kick: to sign in, list your streams, and download your footage.
- OpenRouter and Groq (optional): highlight finding runs on your PC by default. If you turn on cloud AI and connect your own accounts, short temporary audio sections, sampled video frames, and the stream details you enter, such as the title, game and streamer name, are sent to those services under their own privacy policies. Full streams are not uploaded.
Optional project sync has been built but is not active. This policy will be updated before it is turned on.
Removing access and deleting your information
- In the app: open Manage accounts and choose Disconnect under YouTube. This revokes Killer Klips' access at Google and deletes the saved connection from your PC.
- At Google: you can revoke access at any time on the Google security settings page.
- Clip and project information: upload details stay in your local projects until you delete those projects.
- Everything else: uninstalling the app does not remove its saved data. To remove it, delete the
OBSClipStudiofolder in%LOCALAPPDATA%.
Videos already uploaded stay on YouTube until you remove them there. Because we hold none of your information, deletion happens on your PC, but we will help with any request sent to the address below.
Children
Killer Klips is not directed at children under 13, and you must meet the minimum age for your YouTube and Google accounts to connect them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
